Been ticketed in Brazos County? Now you can dismiss your ticket and keep a point-free driving record by completing a driving safety course. This course is done entirely online and is approved throughout Brazos County by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The first step in the ticket dismissal process is Requesting Permission from the County of Brazos. You can either download the forms; fill them out at home, and mail them in, or you can submit them in person.
You can sign up for the course as soon as your application is approved and get started from home. If you take advantage of the Course and Record combo you will be able to access all the online prep materials as well as receive a copy of your driving record upon completion that you will need at the court.
To qualify for a traffic ticket dismissal course in Brazos, Texas:
- You may NOT have had a ticket dismissed within the previous twelve months
- You must admit guilt or sign a statement that you do not contest the citation
- You can NOT possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- You may NOT have been cited for driving 25 mph or more over the posted speed limit
- You must request permission to take the course by the appearance date shown on the ticket, in person or by mail, and submit:
- a completed copy of the Affidavit form with notarized signature
- proof of a valid non-commercial Texas driver's license
- the court administrative fee
- a copy of your insurance policy
- a copy of your Driving Record, if required
- Submit your certificate of completion to the course within 90 days once permission to take the course is granted
