If your ticket was issued in the cities of Arcola, Beasely, Katy, Needville, Sugarland, Rosenburg, portions of Missouri City and Houston, Weston Lakes, or any other city or geographical region located within Fort Bend County, you must request permission with the Fort Bend County office, regardless of your city or county of residence.
To qualify for a traffic ticket dismissal course in Fort Bend County, Texas:
- You must request permission to take the course by the appearance date shown on the ticket, in person or by mail, and submit:
- A completed copy of the Affidavit form with notarized signature
- Proof of a valid non-commercial Texas driver's license
- A copy of your insurance policy
- A copy of your Driving Record, if required
- The court administrative fee
- You may NOT have had a ticket dismissed within the previous twelve months
- You must admit guilt or sign a statement that they do not contest their citation
- You submit the certificate of completion to the course within 90 days once permission to take the course is granted
- You can NOT possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- You may NOT have been cited for driving 25 mph or more over the posted speed limit
